I was very excited when I came across this cake pan. My boyfriend is into hunting raccoon so this was going to be a perfect birthday cake mold with a raccoon topper. From another website I read several reviews which none complain. So my excitement even grew.So shipping came quickly and there was no problem with the merchandise.Upon the day of baking I used Betty Crocker cake mix. (CHOCOLATE) :)I am not the greatest baker but I used baked plenty of cakes before with no problems.This cake pan gave me the most problems ever! I am sure it is because of the pan. It is very heavy and thick (but I do like that because it will last)The problems I had started with my own mistake of overfilling the pan. I worried that not all the parts of pan would mold. But even upon this the cake would not cook.So I started over. New cake mix same name brand. It took over a hour for the cake to fully cook. The worst part it did not look like a log at all. I was very disappointed and the birthday cake did not go as planned.However, I am sure it is does work and maybe I just don't know how to bake.I am looking forward to making a jello mold. Trust me the pan will not go to waste.
